Square Wave was designed by the award winning artist Ivan Black. His work reflects a fascination and kinship with the mathematical patterns found everywhere in nature e.g. waves, leaves, shells, the human form etc. Tending towards the minimalist in design, his work reveals how order silently governs our seemingly disorderly world.

We have become used to a world where things are created at low cost by cutting corners, such as using workers in countries with little or no human rights and low quality materials. We decided to produce the sculpture in Italy, the home of quality production. Producing in Europe with high quality materials obviously comes at a higher cost, but we take pride in the fact that we choose to pay the extra price required to assure the quality of our products, but more than anything, we understand the importance of supporting artisans that make them by hand, have the expertise and understand the value of quality and producing in a country with high standards.
