Behind Square Wave
Square Wave was originally a meticulously designed (much larger) art installation, which served to demonstrate the beauty and physical manifestation of the Fibonacci Sequence. In order to sell such a complex piece to the public tiny handmade tweaks and adjustments were made in order to find the smoothest balance between the weight and length of each section of the structure. Converting the Square Wave’s artisanal crafting method into a replicable process is what led us to where we are now. In order to do so we relied on world class artisans, with decades of experience. Square Wave is assembled by hand, making each piece unlike any other, as you would find it in nature.
Ivan Black recalls his first exhibit
"...And we had the exhibition in my dad's gallery. We called it Three Colors Black. I showed the collection of work that I'd make in my own time over a 10 years period. My dad had a collection of carpets and my brother his paintings. It was a great event! Really fun. Most stuff sold pretty well. I sold most of the art. I just thought: "Well, it's now or never, really."... - Ivan Black

Each and every Square Wave is handmade in Italy, near Lake Como, by expert artisans, using exclusively high quality certified materials 100% sourced in Europe. Square Wave dimensions are: 9.8 Inches / 25cm x 9,8 Inches / 25cm and it weights 0.24 Pounds / 110 g. the main component is: S234JR pre-galvanized steel, the highest quality chrome plated steel or the best plating available for the model. Square Wave is made to last outdoors as well and each order is tracked and insured. You will receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your parcel leaves our warehouse.
